EURYTHMICS TO RELEASE ENTIRE BACK CATALOGUE WITH RECENTLY DISCOVERED EXTRA TRACKS.

EURYTHMICS, who have sold more than 40 million records worldwide, are set to release their entire eight album back catalogue on BMG on October 13th. The duo comprising singer/songwriter Annie Lennox and musician/songwriter Dave Stewart, recorded the albums over an eighteen year period between 1981 and 1999 and are still to this day the most charted male/female duo in the UK, having sold more than eight million copies of their greatest hits album throughout Europe alone.

The albums in chronological order are: In The Garden (1981); Sweet Dreams (1983); Touch (1983); Be Yourself Tonight (1985); Revenge (1986); Savage (1987); We Too Are One (1989); Peace (1999).

Eurythmics formed in 1980, essentially out of the ashes of the Tourists but quintessentially out the relationship between Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. Eurythmics’ first LP entitled In The Garden established them as fine songwriters but the duo really broke through to the mainstream with their Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) single which became a No.1 hit in the US (No.2 in the UK) in 1983. The duo would achieve four more Top 20 hits in the US - Here Comes The Rain Again (No.4), Would I Lie To You (No.5), Missionary Man (No.14) and Revival (No.5) - and countless others all over the world (including the Stevie Wonder-enhanced UK No.1 There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart) before the release of their last album Peace in 1999. Eurythmics were awarded a Grammy in 1986 for Missionary Man and, after receiving 10 Brit awards over the length of their career, were awarded a Brit Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.

A recent search through the Eurythmics’ archives has thrown up a selection of rare and unreleased material including cover versions, acoustic tracks, B-Sides (never before released on CD) and live material. All of this will be made available on these exceptional digitally remastered re-releases, which have to be heard to be believed! Annie and Dave have personally overseen the production of the re-releases, all of which will feature deluxe limited edition digipackaging, previously-unseen alternative artwork and photographs and extensive new sleeve notes.
